Trump says Putin coping with sanctions, calls him a ‘professional’

Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is managing to cope with Western sanctions and described him as a professional.

“He [Putin] managed to cope with the sanctions. We talked a lot about sanctions, yes. I wouldn’t say he is inspired by them, but he understands that sanctions may follow, he is a professional,” Trump told reporters aboard the presidential flight on July 4.
