Creation of major AI data center in Armenia discussed

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Razmik Hovakimyan, Co-Founder and CEO of Firebird, Rev Lebaredian, Vice President of NVIDIA, and Alexander Yesayan, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Team Telecom Armenia, the PM's Office has said in a readout.
The meeting focused on the implementation of a large-scale project to establish an artificial intelligence data center in Armenia. The investment program is valued at approximately $500 million.
Prime Minister Pashinyan underscored the importance of the project and reaffirmed the Armenian government’s full support, noting that it will provide a strong impetus for the development and advancement of the country’s technological sector.
Razmik Hovakimyan expressed gratitude to the government for its backing and presented details about the project's next stages and planned initiatives.
As part of the program,thousands of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs will be deployed and an infrastructure with a capacity of more than 100 megawatts will be created.
