Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that the funding of the National Security Service (NSS) has tripled since 2018.
Speaking during a meeting with NSS representatives, Pashinyan said the increase aims to enhance both the main functions of the agency and the capabilities of the Border Guard Troops.
“In recent years, significant investments have been made in equipping the Border Guard Troops and developing border infrastructure. At the same time, certain functions have been removed from the NSS. I believe the tripling of funding reflects the broader picture I am describing,” the Prime Minister stated.
