PM highlights economic activity growth

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has credited structural and conceptual reforms for the increased flexibility of the economy.

Speaking at a Cabinet meeting, Pashinyan said the economic indicators for May 2025 have been “rather good.”

He said the economy now has greater flexibility to swiftly respond to changes in the environment, thanks to the structural and conceptual reforms.

“It is important to note that, thanks to certain reforms, conceptual approaches and formulations, as well as the activities of our business community and our compatriots engaged in economic activity, our economy has demonstrated flexibility and has been rapidly responding to developments. I believe this could be one of the most important achievements—if, in fact, it is confirmed analytically that this perception is accurate,” he said.

The May 2025 economic activity index grew 10,4% compared to the same month of last year. The January-May YoY growth was 5,7%, according to official statistics.
