Israel-Iran conflict: Armenia has assessed possible risks, says legislator

Armenia has assessed the risks of the Israeli-Iranian conflict and developed scenarios to respond to possible developments, MP Sergey Bagratyan has said.
“We’ve assessed the risks, we know the number of people that could come to Armenia,” said the ruling party MP. “Don’t think they would only come to Armenia, some would go through Azerbaijan and some through Turkiye. We have predicted a number, we have developed possible scenarios, we have created a possible manageable situation,” Bagratyan told reporters.
At the same time, the legislator didn’t rule out the possibility of worse developments.
“It could happen that the situation could get out of control…The most difficult situation would be if the US starts bombing Iran. That’s the most difficult scenario. We will have a very difficult situation as a result of that,” Bagratyan said.
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said on June 18 that the government has prepared fallout scenarios amid the Iranian-Israeli conflict.
