There have been no casualties in the Armenian community of Israel amid the ongoing Iranian counterstrikes, according to Aghan Gogchyan, Chancellor of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

Fr. Aghan Gogchyan told Armenpress that there were no victims among the community. He said the Armenian community did not sustain any material damages either.

Israel launched what it calls Operation Rising Lion against Iran's nuclear facilities in the early hours of Friday, calling it a preemptive strike designed to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Iran has denied plans to develop such weapons. Tehran retaliated by launching counterstrikes against Israel.

There’ve been no reports about victims or damages in the Armenian community of Iran either.

Armenia has condemned the Israeli attack and called for immediate cessation of hostilities.

Israel so far reported at least 3 deaths and dozens of wounded.

On Friday Iranian state media said 78 people were killed in the capital Tehran alone and more than 300 injured.
