Yerevan Dialogue 2025: French FM, Palestinian minister hold talks

French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot has met with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine Varsen Aghabekian.

The meeting took place in Armenia on the sidelines of the Yerevan Dialogue 2025 forum.

Jean-Noël Barrot expressed France’s “determination to act to halt the escalation of the regional war,” the French foreign ministry said in a readout.

“The [French] Minister also presented an update on the June conference on the implementation of the two-state solution, which France is co-chairing with Saudi Arabia,” it added.

The sides discussed “the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation with the Palestinian Authority,” the French foreign ministry added.
