France backs Armenia in advancing relations with the EU

France will continue working to facilitate closer ties between Armenia and the European Union, including through the European Peace Facility, visa liberalization, and support for infrastructure development programs, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said during a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“France is always ready to support Armenia and to help foster constructive relations,” he noted.

The French Foreign Minister also welcomed the organization of the “Yerevan Dialogue,” which he had the honor to attend.

“This is the second such conference, and it is already becoming a key platform for decision-makers, researchers and other stakeholders,” he added.
