Greece fully supports Armenia visa liberalization with EU, says ambassador

Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan has met with Ambassador of Greece Christos Sofianopoulos.

Minister Sargsyan spoke about the friendly relationship between Armenia and Greece, stressing the need for further deepening the cooperation and existing potential on the level of ministries. 

Ambassador Sofianopoulos reiterated Greece’s readiness to enhance cooperation in various directions, the ministry said in a readout.

The sides comprehensively discussed the opportunities of cooperation in law enforcement system, civil protection, as well as migration and citizenship sectors.

The launch of the EU visa liberalization process was discussed. In this context, the Ambassador expressed Greece’s full support. The sides also outlined upcoming steps for further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
