PM Pashinyan chairs consultation on progress of housing support program for border families

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a consultation on the 2022–2025 state support program aimed at ensuring affordable housing for families in the border settlements of the Republic of Armenia, the PM's office has said.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Davit Khachatryan presented details on the program’s progress, including key indicators, the timeline, activities, and the status of housing-related transactions carried out in the settlements.

It was reported that, as of May 1, 2025, the number of support cases had reached 2,254.

The consultation focused on both current and future issues related to the program. They also discussed  the specification of new criteria for program participation and the possibility of including other groups with housing needs in the program.

In this regard, Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed officials to study and submit information on potential beneficiaries who meet the newly established criteria.

Pashinyan also addressed issues raised during his recent working visits to the Lori and Tavush regions, giving specific instructions to the responsible officials.

Speaking about the simultaneous implementation of educational complex construction and the provision of transport services, Pashinyan emphasized: "Improving roads is a mandatory condition for the educational complex program. That is, wherever there is an educational complex, road repairs in those areas are an absolute priority. These repairs must be synchronized with the educational process and coordinated with the development of the transport network," the Prime Minister added.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of road markings.
