Armenian Prime Minister extends condolences to Iranian leaders on port blast

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has extended condolences to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian on the deadly explosion in the Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas.

“I express deep condolences on the death of innocent citizens in the explosion at the Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas,” Pashinyan said in a letter addressed to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. “At this difficult time, we extend words of support and solidarity to you and the friendly people of Iran, wishing speedy recovery to all those injured.”

In a separate letter to President Pezeshkian, the PM said, “It was with deep sorrow that I learnt about the horrible explosion at the Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, which resulted in innocent victims and injuries. On behalf of the people of the Republic of Armenia, I extend words of condolences and compassion to you and the friendly people of Iran. At this difficult time, I express support to the families and friends of the victims and wish speedy recovery to those injured.”
