Greek MEP Emmanouil Fragkos has criticized the statement of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas, that Azerbaijan is an important regional partner for the EU.
"Once again Kaja Kallas demonstrates the lack of principles, but also of competence. With such leadership, the EU has an expiration date.
Ms. Kallas, NO!
Energy and money do not matter more than the people. We stand with Justice & Democracy. We stand with our Armenian Brothers and Sisters.
The victims of an ongoing genocide from the Turks for more than a century,’’ the Greek MEP said in a post on X.
During a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Kaya Kallas noted that Azerbaijan is an important partner in the region, and the EU and Azerbaijan have made significant progress in strengthening their ties.
Earlier, Greek MEP Fragkos Emmanuel Fragkoulis criticized the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas, for her plans to visit Azerbaijan, noting: “Armenia chooses democracy, adopts the European Union accession treaty, faces threats, but the EU foreign policy chief visits autocratic Azerbaijan. Why reward the aggressor and ignore the reformer? Kaya Kalas, what message are you sending to democratic Armenia, which is defending its lands from Azerbaijan?”
Once again @kajakallas demonstrates the lack of principles, but also of competence. With such leadership, the EU has an expiration date.
