Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has released a statement on the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

“Today we honor the memory of 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide, 110 years ago, by remaining vigilant against all forms of violence and intolerance. Greeks and Armenians are connected by common experiences over time. Here, after all, many victims of persecution found refuge. They became part of the national fabric and a creative arm of our society. That is why the timeless solidarity of the two peoples for Truth, Dignity and Justice is indestructible,” he said in the statement published on social media.
