Any attempt to continue Karabakh Movement would be destructive, says PM Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Thursday that any attempt to continue the Karabakh Movement would be destructive because it had been, and will be, a tool for certain foreign actors to not allow Armenia’s statehood, independence and sovereignty.

Speaking in parliament, Pashinyan said “some foreign actors had always used the Karabakh issue for not allowing Armenia’s statehood and independence.”

“The ruling majority, I personally state that any attempt to continue the Karabakh Movement is destructive, because it was and will be a tool for not allowing Armenia’s statehood, independence and sovereignty. Unfortunately we realized this very late, and the opposition is basically saying that Armenia’s statehood had and has one goal and purpose, the Karabakh Movement, the Karabakh issue, and that the Karabakh Movement must continue regardless of what consequences it will have,” Pashinyan said.
