In the era of technological changes, Armenia should lead these advancements rather than merely be a consumer, said Tatevik Simonyan, founder of the Doing Digital Forum and co-founder of SPRING PR.
“People from all over the world have visited Armenia to learn about the latest technological developments, understand how the world is developing, explore the future of money, and discuss how these transformations impact the economy,” Simonyan stated.
She emphasized that to lead change, one must stay informed about global trends. Simonyan also acknowledged Armenia’s potential to drive technological progress.
Commenting on this year’s forum theme, “Future of Money: Economic Impact,” Simonyan noted that Armenia is undergoing significant developments in this context. “The most important aspect is crypto regulation. The Central Bank and relevant authorities are discussing how to regulate the sector to establish clear rules of the game,” she said.
She also highlighted the importance of making Armenia attractive to businesses and investment firms.
Speakers at the event include Armenian Central Bank Governor Martin Galstyan, CEO of Edgar, Dunn & Company Samee Zafar, and Henri Arslanian, co-founder and managing partner of Nine Blocks Capital Management, one of the largest institutional-grade crypto hedge funds globally, among others.
“The list of participants is highly diverse, but everyone has gathered to discuss what we, as a country, can do to lead these changes in this era of a ‘technological tsunami’ rather than merely being its consumers,” Simonyan emphasized.
