Doing Digital Forum 2025: Key topics and keynote speakers

The Future of Money and the Money of the Future: This year, SPRING PR’s Doing Digital Forum (DDF) is dedicated to one of the most relevant topics of our time—the transformation of money and its economic impact. The forum’s technology partner is Amazon Web Services.

According to SPRING PR, for the third consecutive year, the Doing Digital Forum in Yerevan brings together top international figures, as well as the best local speakers and experts, including prominent representatives from fintech, banking, business, and other industries.  

The forum entitled "Future of Money: Economic Impact," will explore trends in the development of digital currencies, wallets, Web3, and AI technologies, as well as their impact on the financial system and the global economy. Discussions will also cover opportunities for the growth of the local financial sector and various business directions, along with Armenia’s role in the international ecosystem.

Who are the keynote speakers at DDF25 and what topics will they cover?

Gerd Leonhard, one of the world’s top futurists, known for his insights on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the future of finance. With a career spanning over two decades, Leonhard has spoken at more than 2,000 engagements in 70+ countries, advising Fortune 500 companies, governments, and organizations on the impact of emerging technologies. His best-selling book, "Technology vs. Humanity," has been translated into 12 languages, and his work continues to influence the global conversation on digital ethics and the future of financial systems. 

Henri Arslanian – a global crypto leader, advisor to leading crypto companies, governments, and regulatory bodies, TEDx speaker, and co-founder of Nine Blocks Capital Management, an institutional crypto hedge fund specializing in digital assets.

At DDF25, Henri will discuss the history of money—its evolution, the path it has taken, and its current state. He will also explore the future of money and the money of the future, particularly in the context of cryptocurrencies—their significance for financial institutions and countries like Armenia, as well as their impact on our daily lives. His speech will also cover key topics such as: how Bitcoin's value reached $100,000, the stablecoin market surpassing $200 billion, the rise of decentralized finance (DeFi), exceeding $150 billion, the impact of the U.S. new crypto-strategic reserve on the crypto market.

Sami Zafar is the CEO of Edgar, Dunn & Company, a leading advisory firm specializing in digital financial services, banking, payments, digital commerce, and emerging technologies, including blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

His talk at DDF25 will focus on international payments, a sector undergoing significant transformation. Innovations are emerging from both the banking and FinTech communities, with numerous startups introducing groundbreaking ideas. Zafar will delve into these developments and their impact on the future of global transactions.

Matias Undurraga Breitling from Amazon Web Services is a technology leader with over 20 years of experience, specializing in the design and implementation of technology solutions at AWS. He is also the founder of Food Solution, the largest food e-commerce platform in Chile.

At DDF25, Matias will discuss how generative AI is transforming e-commerce, sharing real-world examples and case studies from Amazon.com. He will showcase innovations like Amazon Just Walk Out technology and Amazon One for authentication and payments—real-world solutions that businesses can implement to enhance security and create the next-generation customer experience.

The 2025 Doing Digital Forum (DDF) will take place on April 3 at Dvin Hall. The forum aims to establish Armenia as a regional hub for the digital economy, fintech, and innovative technologies, providing a platform for global and regional experts, technology companies, financial institutions, and policymakers to discuss the opportunities, challenges, and solutions of digital transformation.

Since 2023, the forum has welcomed over 40 leading speakers and more than 2,000 participants from Armenia, the United Kingdom, the United States, the UAE, Germany, Australia, and the CIS countries.
