Pashinyan congratulates winners in Gyumri, Parakar elections

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated the winners of the municipal elections in Gyumri and Parakar.

“The Citizen of the Republic of Armenia has the chance to freely make a choice. The Citizen’s choice is our law. I congratulate all political forces and candidates who garnered the Citizen’s trust and won in the elections. All reports about illegal influence on the will of voters must be investigated in detail with the primary goal of ruling out repetition,” Pashinyan said.

Civil Contract party garnered most votes in Gyumri but not enough to elect a mayor by itself, thus there could be coalition deals.  

Civil Contract lost to Unity alliance in Parakar. Unity alliance garnered over 50% of votes.
