Kazakhstan welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan peace agreement progress

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, said that Astana welcomes the conclusion of the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan around the terms of the peace treaty, Kazinform reported.
Tokayev said that FM Mirzoyan’s first official visit to Kazakhstan has great importance in terms of developing partnership.
“Kazakhstan welcomes the completion of negotiations around the text of the draft agreement on peace and establishment of interstate relations between Yerevan and Baku,” Tokayev said, according to Kazinform.
He said the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan would contribute to strengthening security in the region and development of cooperation with Kazakhstan and all other Central Asian countries.
