Armenia, Kazakhstan united in aspiration for strengthening sovereignty, independence – FM Mirzoyan

Armenia and Kazakhstan are united in their aspiration to strengthen their sovereignty and independence, as well as increase their transit potential and modernize national economies, Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan said during a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart and Deputy Prime Minister Murat Nurtleu.

Mirzoyan, during his first official visit to Kazakhstan, said that 2024 was an important milestone for the bilateral ties between Armenia and Kazakhstan. High-level mutual official visits and numerous joint projects took place, boosting partnership in various sectors. The reciprocal presidential visits symbolized the beginning of a new chapter of deeper friendship and cooperation, he said.

“I am sure that this year we will continue to strengthen our bilateral partnership, enhance the horizons of mutually beneficial cooperation encompassing a broad circle of directions, such as trade-economic, cultural, humanitarian and other areas. Armenia highly values its partnership with Kazakhstan and is ready to make effort for its further dynamic development,” Mirzoyan said.

“Our states are united in their aspiration for strengthening their sovereignty and independence, as well as increasing the transit potential and modernizing our national economies. This all creates solid grounds for expansion of collegial partnership. Yerevan and Astana very often have either matching or very similar positions about many important matters on the international and regional agenda,” he added.

FM Mirzoyan emphasized that Armenia remains committed to the peace agenda.
