Brazil hopes for prompt completion of Yerevan-Baku peace process

The Brazilian Government has welcomed the announcement by the governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan on finalizing negotiations on a peace agreement, expecting that the process will be signed as soon as possible.
“The Brazilian Government welcomes the announcement by the governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan of the conclusion of negotiations on an agreement that, once implemented, will restore peace between the two countries and normalize bilateral relations.
Brazil encourages both parties to continue prioritizing diplomacy and dialogue as the path to lasting, sustainable peace and expresses its hope for the earliest possible conclusion of this process,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil said in a statement.
The governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan announced on March 13 that the negotiations around the peace treaty have been successfully concluded. The date and location of signing the agreement is yet to be determined.
