Armenian FM lauds ‘extremely important milestone’ in peace talks with Azerbaijan

Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan has described the conclusion of peace treaty negotiations with Azerbaijan as an extremely important milestone.
“I find this to be an extremely important milestone in the direction of normalizing relations with our neighbors and establishment of peace in the region around the Republic of Armenia,” Mirzoyan told lawmakers. “The text has been agreed upon. Armenia has offered to swiftly launch consultations with Azerbaijan to agree on the location, date and other details of signing the agreement.”
The governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan announced on March 13 that the negotiations around the peace treaty have been successfully concluded. The date and location of signing the agreement is yet to be determined.
