Situation in Latakia remains concerning – correspondent

The situation in central Latakia, Syria, remained stable today, with no clashes reported, though residents stayed indoors. Gunfire was occasionally heard, "Gandzasar" correspondent said,  adding that the overall situation remains concerning.

"Security forces are deployed in the city's central districts. They conduct searches of passing cars and individuals to prevent potential threats. Schools remain closed, and the population continues to face economic hardship. The water crisis persists; water is being distributed in the city," the correspondent said.
