The efforts to sign a peace treaty are among the actions that could contribute to resolving all issues, including the return of Armenian prisoners illegally held in Baku.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement in response to opposition "Hayastan" faction deputy Agnessa Khamoyan Wednesday during a Q&A session with Cabinet members in parliament.
Khamoyan asked: “Apart from statements, what are you doing for the citizens of Armenia who are being tortured in the prisons of the country with which you are going to sign a peace treaty?”
“The efforts made towards signing a peace treaty are among the actions that, beyond statements, can and, most likely, will contribute to solving the problem you mentioned, as well as all other problems. Apart from statements, we remain committed to the peace agenda, as we believe that an atmosphere of peace is what can resolve this issue, among others,” Pashinyan said.
