Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Police Chief Major general Aram Hovhannisyan has held a meeting with General Viktoras Grabauskas, the Commander of the Public Security Service of Lithuania.
Major general Hovhannisyan emphasized the importance of the friendly relationship between the two countries. In this context he lauded the project carried out jointly by Lithuania and Latvia on supporting the reforms in the Armenian law enforcement and security sectors, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a readout.
Major general Hovhannisyan presented the ongoing work in the direction of forming the Police Guard, a new police force in the Armenian law enforcement system.
Gen. Viktoras Grabauskas emphasized the importance of exchange of experience for improving the system.
The officials agreed to continue effective cooperation.
