Speaker lauds positive ties with Trump Administration

Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan on Tuesday said that Yerevan maintains a positive relationship with US President Donald Trump’s administration.

Speaking at a press briefing, Speaker Simonyan said that Armenia and the US have collegial ties. 

“We have a positive relationship with US President Donald Trump’s administration. We are working with them, we have collegial relations, and we will continue [developing the ties],” he said.

He said that Armenia has never conditioned its ties with the US with any given administration. Yerevan never adopted any special approach for any American political party, he said.

“We’ve never had a differentiated approach regarding Democratic or Republican parties. We are not breaching the balance at all,” he said.
