Interagency Commission within the framework of Chemical Weapons Convention holds session

On February 22, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the session of the Interagency Commission (National Authority) for the implementation of the obligations stemming from the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction (the Chemical Weapons Convention or CWC) took place.

During the session, the process of implementation of the obligations stemming from the CWC, capacity building programs, as well as the cooperation between Armenia and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) were discussed, the foreign ministry said in a press release.

The members of the Interagency Commission exchanged views on the legislative reforms adopted for the enforcement of the CWC provisions.
