$1.5 billion worth of property under seizure, says Prime Minister

The return of illegally acquired property must be carried out through legal mechanisms and procedures, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a Q&A session with Cabinet members in parliament. He stated that the government has established a state institution responsible for the continuous confiscation of illicit property, regardless of the political leadership.

"We have a system for confiscating illegal property, confiscating system within protecting state interests  and a system for safeguarding community interests. We have also created an institution for nationalization," Pashinyan noted.

According to the Prime Minister, $1.5 billion worth of property is currently under seizure, and can not be taken out from Armenia.
