The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, highlighted that cooperation between Armenia and Georgia is of vital importance.
"The world is full of challenges, and it is extremely important to take them into account. Together, we can ensure the protection of our common interests. Cooperation between Armenia and Georgia is of vital importance," the Georgian Prime Minister noted during a press conference following his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Kobakhidze mentioned that during a private conversation with the Prime Minister of Armenia, bilateral, multilateral, as well as regional and global issues were discussed.
He also noted that this is his second visit to Armenia, which indicates that the Georgian side is very interested in deepening and expanding bilateral relations.
The Georgian Prime Minister added that the two countries are intertwined by long-standing ties of friendship and partnership, which have evolved into a strategic partnership.
“This partnership is extremely important for the entire region, for the prosperity and sustainable development of the region,” Kobakhidze emphasized.
Kobakhidze assessed the 14th session of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries as productive.
“There are special relations between our countries, and these are not only determined by geographical factors. Our partnership is deeply rooted in historical circumstances, and our friendship has a centuries-old history. It is anchored in this, and our mutual respect is a testament to this,” said the Georgian Prime Minister.
