Russia sees ‘good progress’ in Armenia-Azerbaijan delimitation

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk has said that Moscow sees good progress in the delimitation and demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“There’s been very big, good progress. One part of the border has been delimitated and demarcated. As far as I know, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev recently met and agreed to start the delimitation and demarcation process, they will proceed from north to south, from the crossroads of the borders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, and will proceed downward,” Overchuk said.

He said Moscow has always welcomed such contacts and joint work, which, in his words, will contribute to regional stability.
