Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent congratulatory messages to President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang on the occasion of the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival).
The message to Xi Jinping states:
"I warmly congratulate you on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, the Spring Festival. I wish that this holiday, symbolizing the awakening of nature, will bring health, happiness and progress to all families of the friendly Chinese people.
The relations between the Republic of Armenia and the People's Republic of China have been formed on the basis of friendly ties dating back to historical times. Among the priorities of Armenia's foreign policy, I attach great importance to the continuous development of bilateral relations with China, based on equality, mutual trust and respect.
I am hopeful that in the near future there will be an opportunity to further expand the multifaceted cooperation established between our two countries through joint efforts, raising bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level. In this context, I also attach importance to the strengthening of cooperation between Armenia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization under the Chinese presidency.
Taking this opportunity, I wish you good health and prosperity, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of China''.
The message to Li Qiang reads:
“On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, the Spring Festival, I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you and the friendly Chinese people. I wish that the coming year will be a year of harmony and prosperity for China.
Attaching great importance to the dynamics of the development of friendly relations between Armenia and China at the bilateral and multilateral levels, I express my readiness to continue to make maximum efforts to raise them to a qualitatively new level.
I am convinced that active cooperation in regional initiatives of mutual interest, high-level mutual visits, as well as cooperation in multilateral platforms, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, will contribute to the implementation of the above-mentioned goals.”
