Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said Tuesday that Armenia has always been trying to take into account Russia’s interests in international platforms and expects the same from Moscow.

Speaking at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Mirzoyan said partnership in international organizations is on the agenda of bilateral ties. “The other important indicator is the cooperation in international platforms. We always try to treat Russia’s interests with understanding, and we have a desire and expectation that the Russian side will likewise take into account to some extent Armenia’s interests in international platforms,” Mirzoyan said.

FM Mirzoyan said Armenia intends to further develop its relations with Russia based on mutually-beneficial partnership and mutual respect for sovereignty, in line with the interests of both countries.

He said that a stable positive result is seen in economic partnership, which in turn has positively impacted trade.
