YEREVAN, DECEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Director of the Defense Institution Building School of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia Nikoloz Melkadze recently led a delegation comprising participants of the Defense and Security Senior Program to Armenia on a visit.
The delegation was received by Levon Ayvazyan, the Head of the Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, the Defense Ministry has said.
The Armenian military reforms were presented at the meeting. The sides also discussed prospects of cooperation between Armenia and Georgia in the defense sector.
The Georgian delegation also visited the National Defense Research University of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, where the institution’s director Major-general Albert Baghdadyan delivered a lecture about the university.
The National Defense Research University of the Armenian Ministry of Defense and Georgia’s Defense Institution Building School signed a memorandum of cooperation, marking the first time such an agreement is signed between defense educational institutions of the two countries.
