Armenian Speaker of Parliament holds meetings in India

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. During his official visit to India at the invitation of the Indian side, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan held several meetings.

The National Assembly has published a video summarizing the visit.

It is noted that Armenia attaches great importance to strengthening friendly, mutually beneficial ties with India and establishing new cooperative relations. In this context, a number of meetings were held during the visit.

The Speaker's first meeting was with the President of India.

During the meeting, it was noted that despite broad cooperation, there is still untapped potential in bilateral relations. The President expressed hope that the visit would open up new opportunities in their bilateral relations. Parliament Speaker emphasized that India is an important partner for Armenia.

The issue of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan was also discussed during the meeting.
