Former top general faces potential forfeiture of multiple assets

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. The Anti-Corruption Court lodged on December 6 a motion by prosecutors seeking forfeiture of assets owned by the former Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lt. general Artak Davtyan. Prosecutors argue that the assets, owned by the general and his affiliates, have been obtained illegally.

The motion has been filed by the stolen asset recovery department of the Prosecutor-General’s Office.

Prosecutors seek the forfeiture of 6 real estate properties with a total estimated value of more than 545,6 million drams; as well as 97,3 million drams.
