Turkey is behind the overthrow of Assad, says Trump

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. According to the  President-elect of the United States Donald Trump, Turkey is behind the overthrow of Assad, Tass reported.

"Nobody knows who’s behind the other side (of the new Syrian government), but I do. It’s Turkey. Well, Turkey is behind it. He (Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan) is a very smart man," said Trump. 

Trump also mentioned that he does not want American military casualties in Syria, but added that no one knows how the situation will unfold.
