Armenian regulatory body approves Starlink license

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Public Services Regulatory Commission has approved the applications by STARLINK AM.

Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan announced the decision on Facebook.

He expressed hope that the testing phase will be completed soon and the service will be fully operational.

The decisions of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of 4 December and 13 December approved the applications of STARLINK AM LLC in the territory of the Republic of Armenia regarding the provision of an exploitation license of public electronic communication network, provision of permit on using radiofrequencies on secondary basis for organizing public electronic communication network via global satellite communication systems.

“The licensing and permits have been provided, and now we enter the testing phase, which, I hope, will be completed in the coming months, and the service will be fully operational,” Hayrapetyan said in a post on Facebook.
