Brazil evacuated its embassy in Damascus

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. Brazilian authorities have announced the evacuation of the country’s embassy in the Syrian capital Damascus.

“The Planalto Palace (the working residence of the President of Brazil) ordered the country’s embassy in Damascus to evacuate,”  the Brazilian media reported.

As part of the evacuation, in which the UN will participate, embassy staff will be sent to Lebanon. It is noted that “one local official” will most likely be left at the embassy.
