YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS. The opposition forces have not caused any harm in Kessab, and the local Armenian community is in a safe condition,Talin Gazazyan, a journalist and teacher living in Kessab told Armenpress.
"We are doing well here now. They have not harmed us in any way or caused any trouble. We, the Armenians, are safe," Gazazyan said, adding that there is uncertainty in the area these days.
According to her, a meeting and dialogue between the Armenian clergy and representatives of the opposition forces took place in a positive atmosphere, and the opposition had assured them of their security.
She also reported that the militants who entered Kessab even provided food to the residents due to shortages in local stores.
"They said that everyone can open their shops and return to their work. Starting tomorrow, schools will also be open," Gazazyan concluded.
