Aram Aramyan appointed as Deputy Prosecutor General

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. On December 3, a Board meeting, chaired by Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, was held to discuss the appointment of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia, the position of Deputy Prosecutor General has been vacant since November 28, 2024 (Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Artur Poghosyan was appointed to the position of Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia).

In accordance with Part 3 of Article 36 of the Law "On the Prosecutor's Office," Anna Vardapetyan presented the candidacy of Aram Aramyan, Prosecutor of the Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan, to the Board members for consideration.

According to the source, the members of the Board expressed a positive opinion on Aram Aramyan's candidacy, emphasizing the candidate's professional and human qualities, and high responsibility towards his work.

It is noted that after the Board meeting, by order of Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, Aram Aramyan was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.
