Azerbaijan says peace talks with Armenia to resume in December

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS.  An Azeri top official has said that negotiations with Armenia will resume in December because now Baku is busy with COP-29. 

“The main topic on Azerbaijan’s agenda until the end of November is COP-29,” TASS news agency quoted Hikmet Hajiyev, President Aliyev’s assistant, as saying. Baku is currently hosting the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-29).

“Starting in December, a new process will begin between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the negotiations around the text of the peace treaty,” he added.

Hajiyev added that the text contains certain issues and negotiations continue on the level of experts and a new process will begin in December.
