YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. Armenia still doesn’t have a decision on participation in the COP-29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the deputy foreign minister Vahan Kostanyan has said.

“We don’t have a decision yet. We will properly inform when a decision is made,” Kostanyan told reporters.

He reiterated that the decision on participation or non-participation depends on the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations dynamics.

COP-29 kicked off in Baku on November 11. It will last until November 22. Several world leaders have refused to participate due to various reasons. Many international figures called on Azerbaijan to release all Armenian captives ahead of COP-29. On October 24, the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on the EU to increase pressure on Azerbaijan ahead of COP-29 to release the Armenian captives.
