Yerevan-Gyumri road of North-South project to be completed in 2025, says minister

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS. The Yerevan-Gyumri section of the North-South road project will be completed in 2025, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan has said.

He said the active construction work will continue next year.  

Construction in new sections will commence.

“In particular, the Kajaran tunnel, Sisian-Kajaran section are important to us, while in terms of the existing parts we will complete the section towards Gyumri in 2025. We can finally say that the North-South road from Yerevan to Gyumri will be completely ready in 2025,” Sanosyan told lawmakers during a committee hearing on the 2025 budget.
