Government considers launching security service in schools

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 29, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport is developing models for outsourcing food and security services for schools.

“I’d like to emphasize in terms of security that we attach great importance to developing a security standard in schools, so that it’s clear how the complete security of the school is ensured,” Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan told lawmakers at a committee hearing on the 2025 budget. “Furthermore, these models can vary depending on the type of the school. One thing is clear, there is a serious issue of security standard, and studying the international experience and the existing problems is among our current priorities,” the minister said, adding that they will discuss the possible outsourcing of the security services.
