Rainfalls of up to 150% monthly norm expected in just two days, meteorologists warn

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Rainfalls amounting to 100-150 percent of the October monthly norm are expected in the next two days across Armenia, including in Yerevan, meteorologists warned Wednesday.

Rainfalls and thunderstorms are expected late evening Wednesday throughout Friday, the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center said in a press release.

In a statement, Yerevan City Hall said that jointly with Veolia Water, the city’s water supply operator, it launched preventative measures to mitigate the expected consequences of the heavy rainfalls. 

City Hall advised motorists to make only highly essential journeys during the rainfalls.
