Armenian army chief meets with U.S. military officials to discuss defense partnership

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 16, ARMENPRESS. First Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, during his visit to the United States, had meetings on October 15 with the Director of the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency Mike Miller, the Commander of U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) Brig. Gen. Allen J. Pepper, and the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Tressa Guenov.

During the meetings, a number of issues related to the current course of Armenia-U.S. defense partnership, upcoming programs and regional security were discussed, the defense ministry said in a press release.
