Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Hovhannisyan and newly appointed Estonian Ambassador discuss broad range of bilateral relations

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan on Tuesday received Marge Mardisalu-Kahar, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Armenia (residing in Tbilisi), to hand over a copy of her credentials.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the Deputy Minister congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and expressed his belief that she would contribute to further strengthening and deepening relations between the two countries.

According to the source, both parties expressed satisfaction with the growing dynamics of the political dialogue between Armenia and Estonia, highlighting the importance of continuing high-level mutual visits and contacts. The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues concerning the development of bilateral relations, as well as the prospects for further deepening the Armenia-EU partnership and the steps taken in that direction.

The Deputy Minister presented Armenia's vision for achieving stable peace in the South Caucasus and the Armenian Government's "Crossroads of Peace" project. Hovhannisyan also discussed the latest developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of concluding a peace treaty as soon as possible.
