3,226 forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh granted citizenship of Armenia

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. A total of 4,918 people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh have applied for citizenship of the Republic of Armenia and so far 3,226 of them have been granted citizenship, said Deputy Head of the Migration and Citizenship Service Nelly Davtyan.

Davtyan also noted that 83 individuals have withdrawn their applications. According to the latest updated data, 115,359 people were forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh and 30,306 of them are minors.

"As of September 26, 2024, the number of applications for temporary protection comprises 112,233," concluded the Deputy Head of the Migration and Citizenship Service.
