YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. The government expects the debt-to-GDP ratio in yearend 2025 to be 53,5%, finance minister Vahe Hovhannisyan told Cabinet ministers at the discussion of next year’s budget.
The draft state budget of 2025 envisages a 609 billion dram deficit.
“The 2025 tax-budgetary framework has been built by defining a high level of capital expenditures of the state budget, whose impact falls on the deficit, which grows up to 5,5% in 2025, and then in the mid-term decreases to the level of 3%, which keeps the debt burden stable. As a result, the government debt-to-GDP ratio in the end of 2025 will be 53,5 percent,” he said.
