Armenia ready to open all roads based on principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. The Crossroads of Peace project is about the readiness to open all possible roads passing through Armenia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the Global Armenian Summit.

“We are ready to provide our roads through Syunik, Tavush, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, all possible places. By what principles? The roads must function without bypassing, undermining or subordinating the sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction of the Republic of Armenia, just like in all countries of the world. When we talked about the opening of regional connections Azerbaijan’s reaction was the following, alright, if Armenia doesn’t want it, we will implement that project through Iranian territory. First of all I’d like to once again officially say for the record that Armenia wants and is ready to ensure the same passage under the exact same conditions that Iran does. Furthermore, we don’t rule out some simplifications of procedures and we view this in the logic of reciprocity,” Pashinyan said.
