PM Pashinyan, PACE President discuss regional developments

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Theodoros Roussopoulos, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), his office has said.

The Prime Minister welcomed the PACE President's visit, emphasizing the Assembly’s active engagement and ongoing discussions.

Theodoros Roussopoulos described cooperation with Armenian parliamentarians as highly effective and expressed hope that it would continue successfully.

According to the report, the two sides exchanged views on Armenia’s ongoing democratic reforms and the Government’s efforts to strengthen human rights protection mechanisms.

It was noted that the parties also discussed regional developments.

 Prime Minister Pashinyan referred to the agreement reached regarding the peace treaty with Azerbaijan, reiterating Armenia’s commitment to the peace agenda and readiness to sign the agreement.

Both sides emphasized the importance of deepening dialogue and multilateral cooperation for the regional stability and peace.
